MetaDataPlugin is actually a set of 4 plugins for the MoinMoin wiki program (the software that runs this section of this site). The plugins allow facet browsing, tagging, and searching of meta data in a moinmoin wiki.

Using a block like this:

 
        {{{#!meta
        category: MoinMoin Extensions; software
        author: Charlie DeTar
        status: beta
        }}}
        

You can create simple and pretty output that looks like this:

Clicking on the "keys" takes you to the meta data browser. The "values" are parsed using the default parser, so you can include links, etc.
